Das Schloss Friedrichstein ist von April bis Oktober täglich von 10 bis 18 Uhr geöffnet. Von November bis März ist das Schloss samstags und sonntags von 11 bis 17 Uhr geöffnet. Der Eintritt beträgt 6 Euro für Erwachsene und 4 Euro für Ermäßigt. Es gibt auch Kombitickets mit anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Region. Führungen durch das Schloss sind in deutscher und englischer Sprache verfügbar und kosten 45 Minuten lang 45 Euro.

Nice and open palace, with amazing views of the city. Includes a cafe with great ambience. Did not get the chance to go on an organized tour but the surroundings and location is nice to spend a few hours and enjoy the nature. Summer would be even better

In an elevation nearby the town of Bad Wildungen, the yellow colour of this palace is a landmark of the área.

There was a local story that tells that a pretty young princess died by poisoning in this castle. That was the germ that the Grimm brothers took, and adapted into the "Snowwhite" well-known fairty tale.

The original building from the 12th has been evolving until being the largest castle in East Prussia in 1927.

Sadly the madness of the ww II pass through this castle and was set on fire by the Red Army in January 1945, remaining only ruins.
Demolished in 1957 was restorated and overhauled to become a palace that houses a museum and a restaurant.

When we get there the restaurant was closed, but you can take a walk by the outside áreas and contemplate a panoramic view of the Bad Wildungen town.

There's a free parking lot in the proximity.
